Ya know 'em, ya love 'em, and ya can't live without 'em .... neither can we.

In addition to their Tailgate duties, the Ladies of the Big House decided to give even more of their time to Michigan this past summer.  They got together to participate in the Women's Football Academy.

For those of you that don't know, the Academy is a fund raiser put on each summer by the Michigan football coaching staff to raise money for cancer research at the University Hospital.  

It's definitely for a good cause and it was a whole bunch of fun for everyone, the "fans" on the sidelines included !   Not only was the coaching staff involved, but many of the players also were on hand to pitch in. They got a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes in order to prepare the men in Blue for a battle on Saturday. From a tour of Schembechler Hall to individual position instruction, it was a day packed full of football.

Towards the end of the day it was time for the scrimmages. While the "men folk" stood around and took pictures, the women got a taste of what it was to play some real-honest-to -God football. I don't know who had more fun. All in all, it was a great day and great time. If you haven't ever checked into it, it's definitely worth the time and effort. Just ask "The Ladies of the Big House" ...
